Abstract:
Nowadays, the geoscience is facing to an important opportunity to be developed, not only because of the challenge of sustainable develop of human beings, but also because of the geoscience theory itself. What should be thought about the research of orogenic belt when we are in the face of the challenge of geoscience and the demands of the sustainable develop of human beings? In this paper, some contents, develop and changes of the orogenic belt research are reviewed, and some new key problems are discussed.
Abstract:
Desertification of land has been a serious problem of global ecological environment and threatened the living environment and sustainable development of human being socienty. Authors briefly discussed some major issues, such as,the concept and classification of desertification as well as the monitoring and assessment on desertificatiion. The unity of recognition and standards is the first issue which has to be solved today.
Abstract:
Coal field burning does great harm to coal exploring,pit building and mine opening-up.The author has been engaged in substantial research in this area since 1961.This article put emphasis on discribing burning area's characteristic,damage and factors contributing to its forming.After comparison of various methods,surface magneticism-detection method and natural electric field detection method are chosen to determine location and condition of burning area.By drilling into clal mine,surface detection method has been proved correct and it has led to a scientific caculation of coal deposit loss in Xinjiang,which results from regular study of burning section.In the end,the author concisely explains bow to put out fire and how to appraise,examine extinguishment effect.
Abstract:
Ma'anqiao gold deposit is one of mast important gold deposits, occurring in sedimentary strata, in the middle-west part of Qinling——"Central Orogen", China and reaches into a large scale in reserves; and its potential of resources adds year after year. The gold deposit has typical significance in the metallogenic mechanism and evolutionary pattern and can be compared with well known gold deposits of the samp type at home and abroad. Major achievements of the study are as follows.
Abstract:
Through studying features of sedimentary and stratigraphic paleontology in Nangqian Tertiary basin,the authors point out the climate at Early Tertiary in basin is tropical-subtropical and rainy,the basin is not more than 1 000 m above sea level.The sedimentary faces and palaeogeography discover that in early basin development sedimentary assemblage is fan-braided-delta-lake which reflects tectonic active;in mature basin development the sedimentary assemblage is river-lake-delta.
Abstract:
Jurassic system is of wide distribution in the Northwestern of China.It is important for not only exploration and development of petroleum and coal but also the research of regional structure evolution history, to recognize correctly the deformation characteristics of the Jurassic. The author finds out the imbricate thrust structure within low Jurassic series in Qidam basin Lenghu 5 fold core and considers the structure formed in late Yanshan movement. This finding is important for understanding the nature of Yanshan movement and evaluating correctly petroleum and coal resources in the region. The structure growth history of Lenghu 5 in Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras can be divided into five stages which are early Jurassic epoch extension rift stage, late Yanshan imbricate thrust stage, early period of Paleogene contemporaneous reverse faults growth stage,from late period of Paleogene to middle period of Neogene anticline growth stage and from late period of Neogene to Quaternary the anticline reformed stage.
