    • This paper firstly summarizes the development status of geological survey informatization domestic and overseas, introduces the current situation and main characteristics of geological survey informatization and geological data service in Northwest China, as well as the achievements in infrastructure, database construction, software development and application, and the role of Xi'an Center of China Geological Survey in promoting the informatization and intelligence of the national geological survey. On the basis of analyzing the existing problems, according to the overall layout of cloud computing, big data and artificial intelligence proposed by China Geological Survey as known as "Trinity", combined with the actual situation of the geological survey in the Northwest Region, this paper puts forward the idea of geological information construction that the construction of the Northwest Geological Data System is the cornerstone, the mainstream business of the center is the demand, and the scientific and technological innovation is the guide.
