Abstract
The northern watershed area lies in the western end of East-kunlun and Animaqing metallogenic belts. On the basis of the theory of metallogenic series and comprehensive information prospecting prediction, the authors analyzed the geological background and the metallogenic geological conditions of the study area, summarized the metallogenic regularity, the regional prospecting model and five possible metallogenic series of gold and copper deposits. Comprehensive information method, logical information method, and ore prospecting information method were used to make the metallogenic prediction. 8 copper and gold prospecting targets were delimited, among which 3 were A-type. By comparing the five ways of delimiting the ore-prospecting target area, it is held that quantitative method, which is based on the qualitative method and is the quantitative expression of the qualitative process and result, can prevent the subjective errors in the qualitative process and result.
