  • Steamflooding is the main important stage in the thermal recovery of heavy oil reservoir, which can further enhance the recovery of heavy oil. But it does not mean any time might be reasonable to switch to steamflooding from stimulation. The author thoroughly studied those reservoir factors which impact the effect of steamflooding after comprehensively analyzing the main geologic features of super heavy oil reservoir in Henan oilfield. These reservoir condition for steamflooding are the net pay thickness of the oil forma tion, the ratio of net to gross thickness, the remaining oil saturation, the heterogeneity of oil formation and so on.On the basis of analyzing the changes of the reservoir condition after huff and puff in fillers, studied and confirmed the reasonable opportunity to switch to steam flooding from huff and puff with reservoir engeering methods and numerical simulation technology.
