Geochemical Characteristics of the Upper Paleozoic Source Rocks in Taikang Rise and Zhoukou Depression

  • By data of source rocks pyrolysis and organic geochemistry,type and abundance of organic substance,and maturity of organic substance have been systemically studied.It is indicated that coal is the best hydrocrabon source rock in the study area.The dark mudstone in the Xiang cheng,Tanzhuang-Shenqiu and Niqiuji depression to the south are "middle-good" class,the Taikang rise and Luyi depression to the north are "middle-bad" class; The upper Paleozoic source rocks in the Taikang rise and Taiyuan formation source rocks belong to Ⅱ kerogan,the other areas are Ⅲ kerogen; The overall maturity displays a pattern of higher in the north and lower in the south,and the Jiyuan,Zheng zhou,Taikang and Luyi areas are in a over-maturity stage which mainly generates gas,while the Xiangcheng,Tanzhuang -Shenqiu and Niqiuji depressions are in maturity stage which produces oil.
