Geological Feature and Development Prospect on Coal Resources in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region

Based on summary for the number, thickness and distribution of coal beds as well as coal accumulation characteristics and coal-bearing structures pattern, the paper analyzes the propective of coal resources in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and suggests that future coal industry development should target the Junggar Basin, the Turpan-Hamibasin, the Yili basin and the north Tarin basin.
