  • Based on summary for the number, thickness and distribution of coal beds as well as coal accumulation characteristics and coal-bearing structures pattern, the paper analyzes the propective of coal resources in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and suggests that future coal industry development should target the Junggar Basin, the Turpan-Hamibasin, the Yili basin and the north Tarin basin.
