    • This paper briefly describes the principle of the shallow refraction seismic tomography method and the high-density electrical method which are widely used in railway,highway,and engineering investigation,through the new project of Lan-Xin Railway,the comprehensive survey application example shows that,as long as the observation parameters and interpretation method are suitably selected,we can perform the detailed investigation for those relatively shallow geologic structures,the hydrology geology,the small faulted structures,and the unfav orable distribution,pattern,and size of geological phenomenon.By Mutual verification of the results from these two methods,we can notonly improve the inspection accuracy and reliability,but also provide a reliable basis for the construction of railways and highways.
