    • The pre-seismic prospecting plays an important role in investig ating coal field.Through the Jurassic in northern Shaanxi Coalfield applications, various phases of the exploration process are discussed in combination with the prospect of deep coal field and the charact eristics of seismic exploration.Selecting a reasonable collection method is the premise to assure good quality.According to the characteristics of main working area,we used the refraction static correction,F-X domain coherent noise at tenuation, and amplitude-keeping technologies.According to the results of seismic interpretation and in combination with drilling data as well as the result of speed analysis, the distribution of structures and thickness of coal seams has been obtained.By selecting a reasonable method available for better exploration data under complex geological conditions in northern Shaanxi, making full use of oil field seismic processing and interpretation of sophisticated technology,we can improve the accuracy of seismic geological interpretation. In addition, the use of the inver sion technology of wave impedance can be forecast the thickness of coal seams.
