  • The controlled Source Audio-magnetotelluric method(CSAMT)is an artificial source in frequency domain sounding method based on MT and AMT.For the advantages of medium-depth exploration, high resolution, and anti-interference ability,it becomes an effective way to metal ore exploration.First, we analyzes the basic geography, geological and geophysical characteristics of the targetarea(Erlian copper)and has concluded that the deep copper zone has a "high-polarization and low resistance" characteristic, which provides the premise conditions in looking for deep and hidden mines through CSAMT method. And then we describe the principles and working methods of CSAMT,the data acquisition instrument V8 produced by Phoenix company from Canada is the next-generation network-based multifunctional electrical product.Through the data processing and anomaly analysis,we get the abnormal regions. The result indicates that the method successfully explains the location, depth, and range of the deep ore-rich region, which is verified by drillings. This result provide a good basis for the secondary development of the Erlian copper.the CSAMT method successfully reflects validity in looking for deep and hiden mines.
