  • A particular geological phenomenon has been found in the second sulfur canal, marked by a milest one of 1145.5 kilometer on 314 state road from Keping to Bachu in Xinjiang. It is mainly shaped like a group of truncated cones.One-block massive limestone or boulder clay on the top of them, and the lower parts is composed of weathering denudation material. It looks like bamboo shoots that comeout from the ground,so call them mud shoots. So far,it has not been reported,so it's a new geological phenomenon.Through the study on its formation process and conditions we can figure out that the particular geological phenomenon's formation process environment should be the records of the hydrological process and climate evolution. In conclusion, the geological phenomenon's discovery and the study on it's formation condition and process has the certain significance for studying the present local climate.
