    • Based on the theory of engineering geology,we analyzed the data of the specific geological phenomenon revealed by topography,strata characteristics,costeaning and adit exploration engineering,showing that a huge ancient slide exists in Wujiagou goldmine.The analysis of its scale and characteristics indicates that the surface ore belt of Wujiagou goldmine is located on the ancient slide as talus slide.Comparing the location,the bearing layer of ore bodies,the mineralized and altered characteristics,the mineral composition,and microelement characteristics,we conclude that the Wujiagou goldmine with other two existing goldmines of Pangjiahe and Baozishan belong to the same goldmine belt.The ancient slide is recovered by the method of simulation and analysis,then the relation between Wujiagou goldmine and Wujiagou ancient slide is analyzed,and the damage level of Wujiagou goldmine by the ancient slide is further analyzed.The damage on surface ore by ancient slide is serious;however,it does not affect he deep-seated ores.According to the dip gradient of the slide and occurrence of slide surface,the planar location of undamaged goldmine is located at 80-120 m to the north of surface ore.
