Research on Loess-Paleosol Sequence Paleoclimatic Proxies in Loess Plateau

Loess-paleosol sequence in Loess Plateau reflects paleoclimatic evolution in continental strata,which has become one of three important information carriers to recognize global climate and environmental changes in Quaternary.It can be used to analyze the mechanisms of the formation and evolution about the East Asian monsoon climate,record climate events and report the inland drought histories in China.Geochemical,physical or biological analysis of climate proxies such as stable isotope,magnetic susceptibility and pollen,provide a new way to extract ancient climate information in the Loess-paleosol sequence.With the introduction of the methods about quantitative reconstruction of paleoclimate,the accuracy and precision of the results become more and more improved.
