  • The gold deposit of Southern Hongshishan is situated in the middle section of Au-Sb-Fe-W Ⅳ level metallogenic belt of the southern Amuwusu-Yingzuihongshan.The main outcropping strata are the Changcheng system Gudongjing Group and a near east-west ductile shear zone in the ore body. There are two large-scale gold tectonic altered zones with an echelon construction and their structural trend similar to the major structural line.Through study on the geological characteristics, mineralized body characteristics, geophysical and geochemical anomaly characteristics of the gold deposit, the major ore-controlling factors and prospecting indicators have been summarized and the genesis has been discussed.By comparison, the gold deposit belongs to Carlin-type.The good prospecting potential of the gold deposit has been pointed out in the study area based on the comprehensive research of the regional mineralization regularities.
