The Magma Conduit System of Canada Voisey’s Bay Ni-Cu-Co Sulfide Deposit——Representative Example of Small Intrusions Mineralization

    • The Voisey's Bay Intrusion(VBI) is located in the Mesoproterozoic Nain Plutonic Suite (NPS) in Labrador,Canada. The Voisey's Bay deposit is hosted in a 1.34 Ga intrusion composed of troctolite, olivine gabbro, and ferrogabbro. The Voisey's Bay Intrusion consists broadly of two intrusions-the outcropping heavily mineralized Eastern Deeps Intrusion and the buried Western Deeps Intrusion. These intrusions are possibly connected by a contemporaneous continuous variably mineralized dyke. There have many contemporaneous intrusions in the area of Voisey's Bay,Voisey's Bay Intrusion have the minimum volume and just the VBI developed in to a large-scaleNi-Cu-Co sulfide deposit,it is the representative example of small intrusions mineralization.
