The Metallogenic Characteristic and Prospecting of the Massive Sulfide Deposit in Qingshuigou-Bailiugou Ore Field, North Qilian Mountain

A comprehensive and comparative analysis was conducted on volcanic rock composition, trace element characteristics, mineralization alteration features and geological features of Qingshuigou-Bailiugou ore field and Baiyinchang ore field. From the perspective of sulfide mass deposit mineralization, the author analyzed and discussed the similarities and comparability between the two ore fields, to indicate the prospecting potential and prospective districts of Qingshuigou-Bailiugou area. Results show that the two ore fields boast comparability in metallogenic epoch, ore-bearing rock combination, volcanic rock formation and mineralization conditions. Therefore, it is considered that there is great prospecting potential in Qingshuigou-Bailiugou area, with Gadaban area being the most prospective area and deserving further investigation.
