Geology, Geochemical Characteristics and Prospecting Analysis of Yazigou Polymetallic Deposit, East Kunlun, Qinghai Province

    • Yazigou polymetallic deposit in Qimantage of Qinghai is a newly discovered copper-molybdenum lead-zinc deposit. Based on detailed field survey, this paper studied geological and geochemical characteristics of Yazigou deposit and analyzed its prospecting potential. Two mineralization types have been found, i.e., skarn copper-lead-zinc ore bodies mainly occurred in skarn between the Triassic monzogranite and the marbles of Tanjianshan group, and copper-molybdenum porphyry ore bodies mainly occurred in the Triassic granitic porphyry. Geochemical results and regional tectonic evolution analysis showed that granodiorite and monzogranite closely associated with skarn mineralization and granitic porphyry strongly related to porphyry mineralization are all weakly peraluminous high K calc-alkaline granites that formed in the post-collision tectonic setting. According to metallogenic geological conditions, geophysical and geochemical characteristics of the Yazigou deposit, this area still has favorable exploration prospects.
