    Structural Styles of the Piedmont Nappe of the West Kunlun Mountains

    • Plenty of field work and tectonic section measures have been carried out in the study area. According to tectonic and deformation characteristics, 5 tectonic zones are recognized among the nappe tectonics of western Kunlun, with the degree of distortion comes down from southwest to northeast. Researches of Kakebaxi'agezi nappe inlier show at least two-stage nappe tectonic activities in this area: end of late Palaeozoic and after late Cenozoic, which are characterized by piggyback and overstep propagation respectively.
