  • Tianshuihai-Chalukou region of West Kunlun is the largest area of Pb-Zn enrichment in Xinjiang. In recent years, with the progress of geological exploration work, Pb-Zn deposits have been found one after another in areas with huge metallogenic potential including Tianshuihai, DuoBaoshan, Tianzhushan, Baotashan, Huoshaoyun, Tianshen etc.. The authors analyzed the regional geological background, regional geophysical and geochemical characteristics of Tianshuihai area. Considering metallogenic conditions, geological characteristics, ore controlling factors and prospecting marks of the newly found ore deposit, this paper explored the prospecting potential of lead-zinc ore in Tianshuihai region.
