Period and Fluid Inclusions Geochemistry of Quartz Veins in Jiangjunhe Area,
    Shiquan County, Shaanxi Province

    • Dashibangou, Yejiapo and Qingnijian gold mineralization points were discovered in Jiangjunhe area of Shiquan County in Shaanxi Province.Multi-stage quartz veins may relate to the gold mineralization. To discriminate the periods of quartz veins and geochemical characteristics of their inclusions has important significance for future prospecting in the study area. The research results show that the first-period quartz veins(occurrence parallel to S1 foliation) host fluid inclusions characterized by mesothermal-low temperature(170 to 220℃) and fairly high salinity; the second period quartz veins(occurrence parallel to S2 foliation) host fluid inclusions characterized by mesothermal-high temperature (270 to 370℃) and higher salinity; the third period quartz veins(occurrence parallel to S3 foliation) host fluid inclusions characterized by mesothermal-low temperature (170 to 220℃) and lower salinity. The regional gold deposits mainly distribute along the second period quartz veins, and the quartz veins of Changgou and Yangpingwan gold deposits have mesothermal-low temperature and lower salinity fluid inclusions. However, the second period quartz veins in Jiangjunhe district are characterized by mesothermal-high temperature and higher salinity and poor gold grade. So, more attention should be paid to the area with mesothermal-low temperature and lower salinity quartz veins in future prospecting.
