Abstract
Based on the 1:50000 regional geological survey, the NE-SW direction fault of the Wuerkasguer in West Junngga is made up of much subparallel with shovle-shaped and is the structure of double imbricate fan. This fact is confirmed that it is northestern stretch of basalts from the Barleik ophiolitic melange in West Junggar. Its characteriesare the large scale, long-time activities and multiphase rupture so that this fracture zone control tectonic unit, the edge of sedimentary basins, magmatism and tectonic deformation.he Barleik fault is also the important part of the Emin foreland basin system. The results provides important information for us comprehensive understanding to characteristics and evolution about Barleik fault, and new perspective for structural framework of basin-mountain, and its development and evolution this area.
