Abstract
The Sb ore occurrence of Kushui lake is located about 130 km southeast to Minfeng County, and about 50 km southwest to the Huangyangling Sb ore occurrence. Tectonically, the Kushui lake Sb ore occurrence is located in the triangle region of the intersection of Altyn fault(south-east side), Mid-Kunlun fault zone (south-west side), and Guozhacuo-Xijinwulan lake combined belt(north side). The area has favorable ore-forming geological conditions and great prospecting potential. The study clarified the characteristics of field mineralization belt distribution, ore composition, fabric characteristics formed by backfilling(metasomatism) of epithermal solution, and roughly marked out four diagenetic(minerogenetic) periods and at least one tectonic activity period, based on the survey of the field geological investigation, identification of mineral hand samples, thin sections and light sections. In addition, comparative study on mineralization and geological characteristics of the Sb occurrence with the adjacent three Sb deposits were conducted, and it is preliminary concluded that the four deposits should belong to the same metallogenic system. The occurrence is low temperature hydrothermal filling or metasomatism deposit controlled by the tectonic or magmatic activities.
