Abstract
The Shahewan titanum magnetite deposit is produced in the eastern part of Bijiashan basic-ultrabasicrock belt, which is occurred in layered gabbro. Recently, dozens of ore bodies have been found in this deposit, with length of several tens of meters to one kilometer, with total explored resources reach to medium scale, and this deposit belongs to a typical magmatic differentiation and separation type. In this deposit, the geophysical and magnetic anomalies are consistent with the basic roch-mass, the core of high magnetic anomaly shows layered distribution, which is consistent with the distribution of titanium magnetite ore bodies in the surface, suggesting that this area still has a great prospecting potential. In this paper, the genisis of the Shahewan titanium magnetite deposit has been analyzed from the aspect of metallogenic geological characteristics, which provide a reference for prospecting the same type of ore deposits in this rock belt.
