Abstract
In this paper, the titanomagnetite samples from southern Shaanxi have been preparated by pressed powder tablet, and the titanium, iron, phosphorus, vanadium and cobalt have been rapid determinated using Axios X-ray fluorescence spectrometer. This method avoids the disadvantages of traditional testing methods, such as long process, labor-intensive and polluting serious. The analysis results show that, when the sample grain size is equal or less than 0.074 mm, the sample preparation pressure is equal or greater than 30 MPa, and the holdup time is more than 30 s, the tested results of Ti, Fe, P, V and Co in titanomagnetite samples are stable and reliable.Adding a fixed sample to the standard curve can effectively reduce the matrix effect, the precision of the test data is better than 2.1%, the accuracy is better than 3.7% and the relative standard deviation is less than 5%, which meet the testing requirements for geological prospecting and mineral processing. It is important to expand the scope application of X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy, to shorten the time prospecting, to guide the beneficiation processes and to develop the rich ilmenite resources in southern Shaanxi.
