Abstract
Mesozoic era is an important phase of structure transformation during the crustal evolution of east Tianshan Mountains, when many ore deposits were formed in Indosinian epoch and Yanshanian epoch. In this paper, the geological feature and dynamic background of Mesozoic (Indosinian and Yanshanian)metal mineralization in east Tianshan Mountains have been studied. The formation of Indosinian metallic deposits was mainly in connection with a large-scale ductile shear deformation and magmatic activity, which stemmed from the compression and the napping from south to north in the North Tarim basin, some ore deposits (such as vanadic titianomagnetite deposit)might be connection with the early Jurassic within-plate outstretch growing universally in Xijiang. The Yanshanian metallic mineralization was mainly in connection with the magmatic intrusion that originated from the underthrust of the Mongolia-Ehuocike Ocean. This inclusion gives an important impetus to prospecting for metallic deposits in east Tiansahn Mountains.
