Abstract
The Qinba area of Shaanxi province is divided into six geochemical zones and 32 geochemical sub-regions based on several aspects, such as the 1:200000 stream sediment survey, the elementary abnormal distribution pattern, the abnormal element combination type, the similar geology-geochemical evolution process of the same geological unit, the enrichment characteristics of the main ore-forming elements in different districts, the metallogenic conditions, the ore-controlling factors and the geophysical data. And then the prospecting potential has been analyzed and summarized. It is found that the geochemical area of Xiaoqinling in North China is a favorable area for prospecting Au, Mo, Pb and U; The Qinshen-Guanquan-Xiangquan geochemical area of Qinling orogenic belt has a certain prospecting potential for Au; The geochemical area of northern Qinling orogenic belt is a favorable prospecting area for Cr, Ni, Au, Sb, Ag and Mo; The geochemical area of southern Qinling orogenic belt has large potential for Au, Sb, Hg, Ag, Pb and Zn, while the potential for W, Mo, Cu, F and P also cannot be ignored. The northern Dabashan geochemical area of Qinling orogenic belt has a wide range of mineral resources, deserving to be further explored. The geochemical area of the northern margin of the Yangtze block has a promising prospect for finding large and super-large mineral deposits, such as Au, Pb, Zn, Cu, Fe, Cr, Ni, P and Mn.
