Glutenite Peak-forest Landform in Qushi'an, Qinghai Province and Its Domestic Comparison Significance

    • Based on the classification of geological relics, the gravel peak-forest landform belongs to the clastic geomorphic subtype of rock-soil body type in geomorphological landscape category, which serves as a major hotspot in geomorphological landscapes research. The Qushi'an peak-forest is a unique glutenite landscape formed by the cold and dry climate conditions in the plateau. The scientific connotation of this glutenite peak-forest landform has been analyzed in this paper from the aspects of topographic forms, formation conditions, and formation process. And then, this glutenite peak-forest landform has been compared with the domestic glutenite geomorphology. The results show that this glutenite peak-forest is very different from other geomorphological features in the formation age, sedimentary environment, lithological characters, formation processes and geomorphological features. Therefore, it has high scientific value, aesthetic value and tourism value for further development.
