Primary Halos Superposed Characteristics of the Suolong Gold Deposit in Western Qinling and Its Implication for Deep Prediction

    • The Suolong gold deposit is located in Western Qinling, Gansu Province. The primary halos characteristics of the Suolong gold deposit has been studied in this paper. Through using the element zoning index calculation method that proposed by C. B. Grigoryan, the vertical zoning sequence and superimposed characteristics of primary halos have been discussed. The results show that the zoning sequence of this deposit is W-Hg-Sb-Au-Ag-Pb-Zn-Cu-As-Mo. The As/Mo ratios show high values at the altitude of 2.6km and 2.3km, but they have low values at 2.5km, showing multiple superimposed characteristics of ore vein group, and predicting that one or more concealed orebodies occur in the deep. Combined with the features of structural superimposed halos, it's suggested that the exploration line 79-115 in the intersection between NNE and NNW-direction faults are favorable metallogenetic areas in the Suolong gold deposit.
