    Geoheritage Classification of the Sanqingshan World Geopark and their Geological Significance

    • The scientific classification of geological relics is the premise and foundation of scientific utilization and protection of geological relics. The Sanqingshan world geological park in Jiangxi has extremely high value and distinctive geological relic type and resource. The geological relics in this park have been divided into three categories, such as basic geology, geomorphological landscape and geological disasters, including 7 categories and 16 sub-categories, with 93 geological relics. In this paper, the distribution and representative significance of geological relics in this park have been analyzed, which will guide the planning of scenic spot protection, development and tourist routes. And then, this study can realize the geological science research, the development and protection of geological relics and the sustainable development of geological tourism.
