Abstract
Songhu iron ore deposit is one of the medium-sized iron ore deposits newly discovered iron ore depostis in Awulale metallogenic belt, of western Tianshan in rencent years. This article studied based on the geological background, and metallogenic conditiongs in a bid to determine its ore-controlling factors. On this basis, we analyzed geophysical, geochemical data information and established the an ore prospecting model. Meanwhile, we make a compare comparative study was carried out between typical IOCG ore deposit and Songhu iron deposit to facilitate prospecting analysis,. Research results indicate that Taking these factors,we make a prospecting. we consider Dahalajunshan ore-bearing formationstrata, faulting tectonics, and magmatic rock are are the important ore-controlling factors. By contrast, we find that Songhu iron ore has similarities with IOCG deposits. Geochemical data shows that the anomaly is well nested better, with the each anomaly centers showed showing good metallogenic characteristics and geochemical background; besides, the abnormal distribution of and each single element abnormal distribution and the re gional faults tectonic trend strikeis almost exactly the same, showing a clear fracture-controlling featurefaults ore control. There is also an obvious magnetic anomaly is also obvious. There are four magnetic anomalies, after drilling verification experiment was conducted on four magnetic anomalies, laid outside the mining area, and three anomalies were found with three of which have been found abnormal mineralizationation or seamore formation. By comparisonthese characteristics, Songhu iron ore is similar to IOCG deposit in terms of many characteristics. Overall, we consider think that it hasthere is a large prospecting potential in the deep and surrounding area of Songhu iron ore. It is expected that Songhu iron ore will be become one of the largest iron oreore deposits in Awulale metallogenic belt.
