Abstract
Xiangshan Ni-Cu orebody mainly occurred in the middle of Xiangshan intrusion. The tectonic setting, age of formation, nature and partial melting of magma source are consistent with those of other typical Ni-Cu deposits of eastern Tianshan. The proportion of mafic-ultramafic rocks in Xiangshan Ni-Cu deposit is less than 20%, obviously lower than that of Tulaergen deposit, which is about 90%, implying that the erosion depth of intrusion located in the west of Tulergen-Huanshandong-Tudun belt is smaller than the Tulargen deposit, and the deep of Xiangshan deposit has a great exploration potential. The Cu metallic elements and ratio of Ni/Cu have regular variation along the strike of intrusion. Throughout the tree major intrusions of Xiangshan deposit, the Cu content decreases from west to east while the Ni/Cu ratios gradually increases, with an average of 1.49, 1.74 and 2.25 respectively, suggesting that the sulfide droplets-containing magma lava flows from east to west. The high precision gravity and magnetic result indicate that intrusions in east and middle Xiangshang are connected in the deep. The binding site of the two intrusions may be the rising channel of sulfide-bearing magma. The CSAMT reveals that there is a large low resistivity in the deep, which may be the main ultramafic rocks according to geological data of ZK4401 and ZK5202, and would be the major focus of further deep ore prospecting.
