Deep Prospecting Prediction of the Dadakenwulashan Lead-zinc Deposit in Qinghai by Using Primary Halo Method

    • The Dadakenwulashan lead-zinc deposit is located in the southern part of the northern margin of the Qaidam Basin, which is a newly discovered deposit in the Devonian volcanic rocks of the Yushan Mountains. In this paper, the characteristics of the primary halo about three drilling holes have been studied by using the Grignelon halo zone index method and the tectonic superimposed halo prospecting method. The results show that Mo and Cu are the front halo of the lead-zinc orebodies, and Sb is the near-ore halo, Au, As and Ag are tail halo. The vertical zonation sequence is Ag → As → Au → Pb → Zn → Sb → Cu → Mo from the bottom up, this sequence has the characteristics of reverse zonation, and lead and zinc mineralization is the result of multiple superposition. The coexistence and superimposition of the front and tail halos suggest that the hidden ore body ore body is existed in the depth. Thus, the metallogenic halo model of deep ore prospecting is established in this paper.
