Abstract:
The Pliocene Kuqa Formation in Ridalik area of Tarim Basin has a great potential for sandstone type uranium mineralization. According to the basic theory of hydrogenic uranium deposits, this paper makes full use of and studies the first-hand data such as field geological survey, borehole data and micro-geochemistry, systematically summarizes the basic geological conditions and characteristics of uranium mineralization in the area, focuses on the analysis of the ore-control factors related to uranium mineralization, such as lithology, lithofacies, structure, reducing medium and interlayer oxidation zone ore-bearing property, and makes a tentative discussion on the genesis and mineralization type of uranium deposits, The preliminary analysis shows that the uranium mineralization of the Pliocene Kuqa Formation is closely related to the interlayer oxidation zone.
