Abstract:
Through carrying out the 1:500 000 secondary halo geochemical exploration in East Kunlun, Qinghai Province, the information on the mineralization of gold and other elements in the area has been acquired rapidly after analyzed a small number of geochemical sampling. And 26 prospecting targets had been delineated by carrying out the 1:25000 secondary halo geochemical exploration in Wulonggou area. It is proved that the secondary halo geochemical exploration is a fast, effective and accurate method to determine the minimum exploration area. By positioning large-scale (1:2 000) original halo profile, groove engineering and pit-drilling engineering, 3 large-scale, 3 medium-sized and 6 small-scale gold deposits have been identified in Wulonggou area, which is controlled by the strike and dip. The obtained amount of gold metal is nearly 120 tons. It is also proved that the exploration technique of secondary halo geochemical exploration is effective and significant in gold prospecting.
