Abstract:
The geochemical characteristics of Buya Coal Mine in Hetian, Xinjiang were analyzed on the basis of 1:50, 000 stream sediment survey. The authors studied the characteristics of element distribution and element correlation, the abnormal characteristics of single element and the combined characteristics of abnormal elements as well. It is found that Pb, Zn, Au, and Cu have a good prospecting potential. According to the abnormal characteristics and metallogenic conditions, two areas with prospecting potential were delineated, i.e. Ottohe-Yagebaidi River lead-zinc-gold prospecting areas and Akkumu lead-zinc-copper prospecting areas. Meanwhile, Ottohe lead-zinc-gold polymetallic prospecting target and Karakoza river lead-zinc prospecting target were optimized indicating a direction for the future prospecting in this area.
