Abstract:
Uraniumore have been evaluated at different microscale in Santanghu Basin, but there is still a lack of specific research and detailed analysis in some key areas of the basin. Based on the comparative study of the caprocks in the Niuquanhu area of Santanghu Basin, the sedimentary succession and typical characteristic of the caprocks in this area are preliminarily determined. We preliminarily summarize and analyze the uranium metallogenic conditions in Niuquanhu area of Santanghu basin from the different perspectives of geological conditions such as uranium source, hydrogeololgy, lithology and lithofacies, posterior erosion, paleoclimate, front of interlayer oxidized zone, abnormal pore of coalfield, oil gas and so on. It is believed that the uranium mineralization conditions in this area are good and there is potential to form interlayer oxidation zone sandstone-type uranium deposits. Further uranium prospecting work should be carried out in the area, target area especially in the northern of Niuquanhu area.
