Abstract: The paper selected sandstones in Kharrazi region of Kalpintag Formation as the research object, using the open source image processing software of ImageJ to measure the grain size of the slice image, and then Matlab software was used in statistical analysis of the data. Characters of granularity parameters and accumulative probability curve shows that Kharrazi region of Kalpintag Formation is of neritic facies.
