Abstract:
The ore types, spatial distribution and its relation to tectonics, ore-forming temperatures, ages and fluids, and formation mechanism of fluorite deposits in the Zhejiang area are summarized and discussed in this paper. It is suggested that the fluorite deposits in the Zhejiang area were possibly related to 80Ma intrusions and formed at relaxation stage after rapid subduction of Pacific plate; the ore fluids were mixture of mantle-derived fluids, metamorphic, magmatic and meteoric water, and formation of the fluorite deposits experienced several repeated process of dissolution and precipitation. A metallogenic model with fluid, stratum, granite and fault controlling elements is proposed.
