Abstract:
Daoga area in Ejinaqi county of Inner Mongolia is a quartz-vein mineralization where gold-bearing quartz vein outcrops. The soil geochemistry measurement of study area was conducted in this paper. Based on statistics of the trace element contents of study area formations, we analyzed elemental correlation by cluster analysis. As a result, 61 multi-element anomaly areas were found, and among them there were 8 abnormal areas of Au. The soil geochemical characteristics and abnormal characteristics were mainly summarized according to the general classification of geochemical anomalies. Considering the scale of geochemical anomalies, morphology, abnormal strength, zoning, abnormal element combination, ore-forming geological anomalies and geochemical conditions, we found out two Type B comprehensive abnormal areas (I and II) and one Type C comprehensive abnormal area (III), on the basis of the single element anomalies. After combining with the geological characteristics and geochemical characteristics of soils, we marked out 3 prospecting target areas, and conducted surface engineering verification, which would provide a favorable basis for further prospecting work.
