Abstract:
A set of schist and gneiss developed in Altay, northwestern Xinjiang, extending from Tawunaisazi to the southern slope of the Mongolian Altay, called Chonghuer-Qinghe structural construction zone. Because of special geographical location and tectonic deformation, this zone has become a hot research focus of development and evolution of Altai orogen. By collecting and analysis of the data of the material composition, metamorphism, deformation of the metamorphic rocks(Precambrian) in Altay region, we hold that the strata have undergone in-depth regional dynamo-thermal metamorphism of amphibolite facies, and the strata are part of the Precambrian basement in Altay region. The deformation of the Kemuqi group is multi-stage and multi-level, and reserved extensive tectonic deformation information in different structural levels. By restoring the original rock, the Kemuqi group is a set of clastic rock(volcanic clip)and carbonate sedimentary rocks.
